Founded in 2004, Haras Trio was born out of a passion for endurance riding. This enthusiasm began in 2002, when Renato Salvador was introduced to the sport by a friend, veterinarian Dr. Antônio Roberto Pereira (Espigão).
“I fell in love during the very first race I competed in and never stopped. Those were two intense years of competitions and learning about endurance and the Arabian horse, which soon involved the whole family. In 2004, my children Renata and Rafael also started in the sport,” recalls Salvador.
Located in Confins (MG), just minutes from Belo Horizonte/Confins International Airport – Tancredo Neves, Haras Trio offers infrastructure both for housing horses and for hosting endurance events.

From the very beginning, the priority was to build a solid breeding program, with broodmares of proven sport genetics, such as SM La Turca, *Naisika Hypolite (Adame de Sauveterre x Naima El Faysettes by Persik), RT Crysti (Nawwak NA x *Zaira by Awad), Frontera Endurance (Ledhyr NA x Java Beauty by Michelet), in addition to mares acquired from the traditional breeder Waldemar Neme, from Londrina, Paraná. The use of semen from the legendary stallion Dormane (Manganate x Mandore by Grabiec) produced the first Trio broodmares, including Crys Trio (x RT Crysti by Nawwak NA), Pompeya Trio ( x WN Pompeya by *Pepi), and Dojour Trio (x WN Belle de Jour by *Ibn Bandos).
The next step was choosing a lead stallion. In 2012, Haras Trio imported *D’Jok Py (Djebel Lotois x Keniah by Kesberoy) from France, a descendant of Zulus and Tidjani and bred by Pierre-Yves Juillard. He quickly became the farm’s main sire, passing on a strong sporting aptitude to his offspring. Among his most notable progeny are Conan D’Jok Trio (x RT Crysti by Nawwak NA), an international winner, and Allure BV (*Arzade Cabirat), the Brazilian record-holder over 1000m on turf.

The farm’s strategy is clear: to combine *D’Jok Py with mares of proven performance, producing horses with high competitive potential. This selection has yielded key broodmares, such as Nona D’Jok Trio (x *Naisika Hipolyte x Adame de Sauveterre), Favorita D’Jok Trio (x Frontera Endurance by Ledhyr NA), and Fênix D’Jok Trio (x Frontera Endurance by Ledhyr NA).
Today, the breeding program also incorporates stallions from renowned bloodlines, such as *Uzbec Du Lion (Dormane x Uline Du Rolon by Mabrouck), Sadepers (Persik x Sada Bint Moulouki by Moulouki), Zerox TE (Chip Chase Sadada x Aloha Zariba by Aloha ZAR), *Azhar du Barthas (Khadar x Djouzula by Zulus), and *Exceptionn (*Exceladdinn x Unique Hope by *High Hopes), further expanding the genetic base of the herd.
The Salvador family’s journey in the sport has been marked by achievements. His son, Rafael Sabino Salvador, was part of Brazilian teams in World and Pan-American Endurance Championships, winning the bronze medal at the 2005 World Championship for Young Riders and Juniors in Bahrain. Renato Salvador, in turn, has accumulated significant international results: team silver and a Top 10 finish at the World Endurance Championship in Pisa (Italy, 2021); sixth place in the 160 km ride of AlUla (Saudi Arabia, 2024) with Uzes Trio (*Uzbec Du Lion x WN Bint Rihanat); and champion of the CEI2* 120 km Rach Stud International Cup (2024) with Logan D’Jok Trio (*D’Jok Py x SM La Turca).

Haras Trio is not limited to endurance. More recently, it has also invested in racing at the Jockey Club of São Paulo, always with the same focus: breeding high-performance horses. The results are already reflected in victories in Brazil, Europe, the United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia. In 2024, for example, La Tâche Trio (*D’Jok Py x SM La Turca), ridden by Mônica Graziano, finished sixth in the demanding 160 km ride in AlUla.
With winning horses across three continents, more than 20 horses in training worldwide, and new foals born each year, Haras Trio remains steadfast in its mission: to breed the world’s best endurance horses, investing in top genetics, skilled people, rigorous training, discipline, focus, and, above all, courage.
