Jorge Ricardo, world record holder for racing, masterfully led Obstinado Rach to the victory of The Prêmio UAE President Cup Series For Colts III, fifth race of the UAE President Cup Arabian Purebred Classic Series – South America Mondial Brazil. And it could not be different.

Affectionately known as Ricardinho, jockey Jorge Ricardo demonstrates all his skill right at the start by taking first place and keeping it until the final, completing the 1,100 meters on dirty with a time of 1:16:484 and 12 ¼ lengths of advantage about the runner-up.

Obstinado Rach is the son of Atentaddo VE, winner of seven races, and Obsession Rach, mother of Orchestra Rach who was elected Horse of The Year 2016.

The battle for second and third places between RG Kemir (*Zapal x Campanha CSM by *Eksport), led by apprentice jockey R. Mendonça, who was advancing from the outside, and Vince Rach (AF Ivo x Vauquelin Rach by Memnon Rach) ridden by apprentice jockey P. Jesus was decided in the last few meters, when Vince Rach slows down and RG Kemir overtakes and takes second place.

Obstinado Rach and Vince Rach trainer Lucas Quintana said: “After finishing second in the three previous races, today I was sure it would be the Obstinado Rach race, mainly being ridden by Jorge Ricardo, who gave us the honor to come from Rio de Janeiro. In addition to prizes during races, all horses participating in the 2021 Race Calendar also compete in the Racing mode of the Arabian Cup 2021.

Founded by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan to promote and celebrate the Arabian horse, and prove that they can race competitively with thoroughbred horses, the UAE President Cup Series is the first international race series for Arabian horses and remains the premier races for the breed.

Jorge Ricardo, recordista mundial de corridas, conduziu magistralmente Obstinado Rach à vitória do The Prêmio UAE President Cup Series For Colts III, quinta corrida da UAE President Cup Arabian Purebred Classic Series – South America Mondial Brazil. E não poderia ser diferente.
Carinhosamente conhecido por todos como Ricardinho, o jockey Jorge Ricardo demonstra toda sua habilidade logo na largada ao assumir o primeiro lugar e o manter até a final, completando os 1.100 metros na areia com tempo de 1:16:484 e 12 ¼ corpos de vantagem sobre o segundo colocado.
Obstinado Rach é filho de Atentaddo VE, vencedor de sete corridas, e de Obsession Rach, mãe de Orchestra Rach que foi eleita Horse of The Year 2016..
A batalha pelos segundos e terceiros lugares entre RG Kemir (*Zapal x Campanha CSM by *Eksport), conduzido pelo jockey aprendiz R. Mendonça,, que avançava pelo lado de fora, e Vince Rach (AF Ivo x Vauquelin Rach by Memnon Rach) montado pelo jockey aprendiz P. Jesus. Nos últimos metros, Vince Rach diminui o ritmo, RG Kemir ultrapassa e conquista o segundo lugar.
“Na verdade foi uma experiência fantástica e agradeço ao treinador Lucas Quintana por me convidou e me disse que eu poderia vencer, mas eu não pensei que ganharia tão facilmente. Nós temos que incentivar todo tipo de corrida no Brasil, quer seja de puro sangue inglês ou de árabe. Espero retornar e competir em outras corridas”, disse Jorge Ricardo.
Treinador de Obstinado Rach e Vince Rach, Lucas Quintana disse: “Depois de terminar em segundo lugar nas três corridas anteriores, hoje eu tinha certeza que seria a corrida de Obstinado Rach, principalmente sendo montado pelo Grande Jorge Ricardo, que nos deu a honra de vir do Rio de Janeiro. Com estes resultados e a vitória de hoje agora nossa meta são os grandes prêmios, e com Jorge Ricardo.” Que respondeu: “Com certeza e vamos vencer.”

O mais importante para nós, como criadores, é que se trata da segunda geração de vencedores, pois é o primeiro filho de Atentaddo VE, garanhão que venceu sete corridas e que se confirma como grande reprodutor e segundo produto de Obsession Rach vencedora de corrida também. O que nos dá muita satisfação é que começamos a ter excelentes resultados da nossa criação para corridas de árabes.”

Além dos prêmios durante as corridas, todos os cavalos participantes do Calendário de Corridas de 2021 também competem na Categoria Corrida da Arabian Cup 2021.
