The Leading Owners, Trainers, Jockeys and Horses for the 2020-2021 Racing Season in Qatar have been announced

With QAR 3.9mn in prize money, Khalifa Bin Sheail Al Kuwari emerged as the Leading Owner (overall and non-sheikh) from the season with 28 wins from 230 runs.
Alban de Mieulle, trainer of the Leading Purebred Arabian Horse TAYF of Umm Qarn, celebrated 60 winners from 313 runs and is the Leading Trainer of the season, while Ibrahim Saeed Al Malki, handler of 50 winners including the Leading Local Thoroughbred Mare Al Faisaliya of Al Sakab Stud, is the Leading Qatari Trainer.
Italian rider Alberto Sanna, who guided Noor Al Hawa to H.H. The Amir Trophy (QA Gr1) victory, is the Leading Jockey, while Faleh Bughanaim, the Qatar Gold Trophy (QA Gr1) winner astride Seeyoubyme of Hassan Ali Alabdulmalik, is the Leading Qatari Jockey. Finishing 12th overall and the Leading Qatari Apprentice Jockey is Saleh Salem Al Marri, who rode 20 winners this season.

The Leading Purebred Arabian Mare of the season is H.E. Sheikha Yasmeen Bint Mohammed Bin Khalifa Al Thani’s Mon’Nia, the H.H. The Amir Sword (Gr1 PA) heroine. Mohammed Bin Hamad Khalifa Al Attiyah’s Sir Monlau won the Qatar Silver Sword last month to emerge as the Best 4yo Purebred Arabian Colt, while H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Khalifa Al Thani’s two-time winner Divine Princess is the Best 4yo Purebred Arabian Filly.

Umm Qarn’s Qatar Silver Trophy topper SEALINE and two-time winner Abida were the Leading Local Purebred Arabian Horse and Mare respectively.
H.E. Sheikha Iman Bint Mohammed Bin Khalifa Al Thani’s two-time winner Saad and Al Jeryan Stud’s AJS Berline won the Best 4yo Local Purebred Arabian Colt and Filly titles respectively.
The Leading Thoroughbred horse of the season is Al Wasmiyah Farm’s Noor Al Hawa, winner of H.H. The Amir Trophy (QA Gr1).
TAYF
Al Azraq Stable’s sprinter Bint Saffian, a three-time winner this season, is the Leading Thoroughbred Mare.
Injaaz Stud’s Hellenistique, the Qatar Derby (QA Gr1) hero, is the Best 4yo Thoroughbred Colt while Hassan Ali Alabdulmalik’s She’s Our Queen, runner up in Qatar Oaks (QA Gr3), is the Best 4yo Thoroughbred Filly.
Khalifa Bin Sheail Al Kuwari’s Al Biddah Mile (QA Gr2) winner Devious Company and Sawda Natheel Stakes topper Unbutton won the Best 3yo Thoroughbred Colt and Filly titles respectively.
Al Jeryan Stud’s Al Lusail, four-time winner, including Al Rayyan Breeders Cup is the Leading Local Thoroughbred Horse.
Umm Qarn’s Equinoxe, winner in French King Cup and Qatar Derby and Qatar Oaks winner Al Khisah snapped up the honours as the Best 4yo Local Thoroughbred Colt and Filly respectively.
