Hadlan powers home winning Qatar Silver Trophy

In the opener race in the card, Hadlan (AF AlBahar x Brasilya) delivered a commanding run in the Qatar Silver Trophy for 4YO+ Local Purebred Arabians over 1400m, the opening race of the day. The 6YO horse showed strength from the outset, sustained his effort throughou and produced a sharp turn of foot in the closing stages to land the victory by a length and three quarters. Trained by Wasim Al Sahn for owner Abdullah bin Saeed Abdullah Al Mesnad, he was guided to success by Pierre Charles Boudot.

Breaking sharply from gate 4, Hadlan surged straight to the lead and was closely followed by Ezzat Nafs (AF AlBahar) and Tayyar Al Shahania (Jaafer ASF), with AJS Saaeq (AF AlBahar) and Naseeb Zakhir (AF AlBahar) tracking just behind.

Dhouha (TM Thunder Struck) improved near the 900m mark, adding further pace to the already competitive field. In the final 400m, as the runners swung into the home straight, Tayyar Al Shahania, AJS Saaeq and the fast-finishing Al Mirage (AF AlBahar), owned by Al Shaqab Racing, trained by Jean de Mieulle and ridden by Faleh Bughanaim, emerged as the primary contenders.

However, Hadlan, still traveling strongly, responded gamely to Boudot’s urgings, pulling clear in the closing strides to secure a convincing win. Al Mirage finished second, while Bakir (Amer), who represents Wathnan Racing, trained by Alban de Mieulle and ridden by Tomas Lukasek, came from off the pace to claim third place, a further three-quarters of a length behind.

Ahmed Al-Sheebani, QREC Director of Support Services Dept., crowned the winners.
